Priming
For
priming the best choice is the Recitext primer developed especially to
be used with the wall-covering Recitext. Based on our long experiences
we have developed a primer that can be applied on most surfaces and this
primer not only reduces the suction effect of the wall surface, but also
prevents discoloration and the formation of patches on the wall. The quartz-sand
grains in the Recitext primer greatly facilitate adhesion.
Thanks to its
special additive material content, the primer prevents contaminating materials
in the wall from absorbing into the covering. The Recitext primer can
also be substituted by a water resistant wall paint or a dispersion type
wall paint suitable for outdoors application, but in the case of using
such priming materials the wall surface may become slippery, which makes
the application of the wall-covering more difficult. The colour of the
primer should possibly be white or the same colour as that of the wall-covering.
After the priming layer has completely dried, application of the wall-covering
pulp can be started. For a plasterboard wall two layers of priming are
recommended so that water absorption by the plasterboard can safely be
prevented.
Making
the wall-covering pulp

A The package contains a separate packet of instant glue. Example: In
the case of a 1 kg package of Recitext wall-covering the approximately
0.25 kg of instant glue in the separate packet should be mixed with 12
litres of lukewarm water using a mixing tool, then, after allowing the
glue to solve for 30 minutes, the mixture should be re-mixed and filtered.
.

To avoid over-dilution remove about 10% of the glue solution. Gradually
mix Recitext wall-covering into the remaining glue solution (90%) and
knead the mixture with hand until it becomes mushy. Do not use a mixer,
because due to its high and various speeds the cotton fibres can get damaged
and there can be a slight colour difference between two mixtures.

Allow
the wall-covering solution to stand for 5-10 minutes, then apply it onto
the wall in a thickness of about 2-3 mm using a plastic spreader tool.
Once a given wall section has been started, it should be finished completely
at one go from corner to corner.
Drying
time
The covering applied on the wall will dry out completely and
evenly in about 2-3 days. Continuous ventilation should be ensured, but
avoid quick and sudden drying and all activities that make dust, in order
to keep the surface clean. The product does not contain any hazardous
substance.
